Edward VI, In A Quick Overview

Edward VI's Signature

Edward VI was born on October 12, 1537 in Hampton Court Palace, in Middlesex England. He was the son of Jane Seymour and King Henry VIII. Soon after his birth, his mother became ill and died. He became King of England and Ireland on January 28 1547 after his father died. Since he was only 10 years old when he became King, Edward's uncle helped him rule. He reigned for six years until he died at 15. Lady Jane Grey was pronounced Queen four days after his death.

I'm not too sure if I ever wrote about him before, but if I did, here's some more information. That was just a basic overview of his life.

King Richard the Lionheart

Richard was born on September 8, 1157 at Beaumount Palace. He had many siblings like- King John, who took the throne after Richard died, and Henry the Young King. Richard is most thought of as a Crusading King, because of his many trips to go crusading.

On one of his conquests he married Berengaria of Navarre, the daughter of King Sancho VI of Navarre. Once Richard married Berengaria he became king of Cyprus and she became Queen of England and of Cyprus as well. When Richard married Berengaria, he was already bethrothed to Alys. Berengaria didn't see England until after Richard's death.They were married on May 12, 1191.

Richard died on April 6th 1199 after being captured and killed during one of his crusades.
